Hey Becca – hybrids aren’t bad either as many have been created to do well in our area by resisting local pests and other issues like blight. But seed from them will get you something other than the original plant from what I’ve learned. Then again, even seed from an heirloom can be a mix if several heirloom varieties are planted in the same vicinity…thanks to our beloved bees. Anyway, I will let the forum know if I have extra plants this year. If all goes well, I will! Good luck with your tomatoes.
Hi Patti – I will drop them in the mail today! Happy growing.

Yes, sorry I should have mentioned our local True Value. I don’t know if individual stores have any say in carrying products that aren’t at *all* True Value stores but we can hope. I suggested that he also try BiMart if he hasn’t already. 🙂
I love Delicata, though it won’t keep as long as the thicker-skinned winter squashes. Sweet pumpkin was also awesome to eat like squash or for pies. I got seed for both at Territorial.
Scot Patterson from Garden Care Naturals mentioned that he stopped by True Value and they might carry the Peppermint Fury spray we learned about at the presentation on Feb 8. He suggested that it would be great if people interested stop in and ask about it, show interest, whatever? Otherwise the closest place I found to buy it is Grays in Eugene.
