Our first annual Fall Harvest Pot Luck is here. Please join us and celebrate all the colors, smells and tastes of fall!
WHAT: Cider Press Party & Pot Luck
TIME: 2:00 Cider Press followed by Pot Luck at 4:30
WHEN: Sunday, October 6
WHERE: Marian’s house
Bring your apples, a cider jug, and your favorite dish.
About 4 lbs of apples will make 1 quart of cider. Please don’t bring any apples from the ground, as they may contaminate the juice and the cider press. Bring a clean quart container to take your juice home with you. We won’t be pasteurizing the juice, but if you like, you can on your stove top at home.
If you have extra apples or an orchard, please share. If you need additional hands to harvest the apples, contact Mikel.

Come and mingle at our first Meeting of the fall, after summer break!
We will have a booth at the Veneta Harvest Festival, and have our annual Member Outreach to let fellow community members know about our club. Come and mingle with members, share summer stories, and talk with community members about our awesome club.
We will also have a brief meeting at the booth, at 10:30 am to discuss the next season. Bring your ideas, meeting subjects and anything you would like, to help shape the next Garden Club season.
Bring a chair and offer to man the booth for an hour during the festival. All while enjoying good food and music!
If you know anyone thinking about joining our Club, this is a great time for them to meet fellow members in a fun setting.

Come and enjoy a private tour of Doak Creek, followed by bring-your-own lunch under the trees. The nursery store will be open, to purchase plants you would like in your garden.
We will meet at Veneta Community Center and carpool over to the nursery.

We will be selling ice at Zumwalt Park for a fund raiser for our club and the Zumwalt Park.
We need volunteers to sell ice, pick up ice and set up / take down.
There are 2 shifts during the event: AM and PM

Summer Garden Club Potluck & Plant Exchange

It’s another pot luck! Please bring a dish to share.
Fruit or vegetable salad? Quiche?
Charcuterie board? Bread & Spread?
Appetizer? …. and let us not forget Dessert!
Soft drinks and mixers will be provided
BYOB your favorite liquor.
There are plates, glasses and forks ‘aplenty,
so no need to pack your own.
Let’s have a plant exchange! Dig up a
volunteer from your yard, put it in a container,
label your plant, and we’ll have both table
decorations and a ‘-‘White Elephant” style
gift exchange – stealing allowed!
(optional, of course).
